Recent and Current Projects
Phoenix, Nevada, USA
AMEC has worked on this 33,600 tpd gold-silver-copper project for over eight years, starting with the feasibility study, extensive testwork, mine planning and scheduling, and throughput studies. Our combined expertise enabled us to support and validate the economic viability of the project and we are now providing EPCM services to Newmont for this US$235M project.

Victor, Ontario, Canada
AMEC is providing engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services on this C$982M, 7,250 tpd diamond mine near the western shores of James Bay. Our involvement with the project began with the prefeasibility study and subsequent detailed feasibility study. In November 2002, AMEC signed an alliance agreement with De Beers to become its preferred supplier for consulting, engineering, and project/construction management services in Canada.
Rocanville, Saskatchewan, Canada
AMEC's work at Rocanville builds on almost 40 years of experience and relationship with PotashCorp, covering dozens of studies and projects at its five mines and mills. Our EPCM services for this potash compaction plant upgrade started up successfully, with tonnage above expectations envisioned by the client 18 months ago.

Red Dog, Alaska, USA
Red Dog is the world's largest lead-zinc mine and has undergone an almost continuous series of expansions and improvements since its establishment in 1989. AMEC has been involved in every major stage of the mine's development and expansion. Our most recent work at this mine includes providing EPCM services to Teck Cominco for the addition of dust collection facilities to the jaw and gyratory crusher buildings.
