The Cortez mining district was discovered in 1862 by prospectors from Austin, Nevada. In 1922, a gold deposit was located by Lee Lakin eight (8) miles northwest of Cortez Gold Mines in the Bullion Mining district. Today we are actively mining Pipeline orebody which was discovered in 1991. Cortez Gold Mines recently celebrated its ten millionth ounce poured.
The Cortez Gold Mine is located in northeastern Nevada, United States of America.
