The 100 per cent owned Barneys Canyon gold mine is managed as part of the copper group because of the mine's close proximity to Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation's Bingham Canyon mine. Barneys Canyon is an open pit mine that started production in 1989. Mining and milling ended in 2001. Gold production from stockpiles will continue until 2005. The operation employs about 20 people.
