Huckleberry Mines Booth
Huckleberry Mines is an open pit copper/molybdenum mine located approximately 86 kilometres southwest of Houston in west central British Columbia. Huckleberry Mines commenced operation in 1997 and identified reserves will carry the mine through 2007.
Mining is accomplished by conventional blasting, loading and hauling using electric drills and shovels and diesel haul trucks. The ore is processed in a 19,000 tonne per day mill using grinding and flotation to produce the final concentrates.
While at the mine site, employees live in a camp setting with meals and accommodations provided free of charge. Transportation by bus is provided from Houston and Smithers. Huckleberry Mines offers a competitive salary and full range of benefits.
Huckleberry Mines commitment to safety and the environment is demonstrated by its excellent safety record and being awarded the Jake McDonald B.C. Reclamation Award in 2000.
