Business Development Manager – Mining Equipment

Our client designs and provides mining solutions including mine hoists, and electrical controls for full operating requirements. We are looking for a strong Business Development Manager to work with new clients across the globe including USA, Mexico, Peru, Mongolia, Indonesia and of course Canada.

More precisely, your principal responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and exploring relationships with key customers (End users for gold, metal, and mining, as well as EPCs)
• Uncovering and developing new business leads within this industry sector
• Providing support and product guidance to customers
• Analyzing and developing supply chain management, profits and losses, cost structure, and inventory maintenance to ensure efficiency
• Preparing and tracking all sales processes, which includes communication, budgeting,
forecasting, expenses
• Developing and implementing account strategies to build the business and support specific corporate goals and objectives
• Working closely with the distribution, customer service, engineering, technical and quality control teams in order to maximize efficient business processes

• Base salary - $100,000-150,000 plus bonus
• Full expenses for business travel, laptop, cell phone, etc

• Post-secondary in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Metallurgy, Mechatronics
• Experience in the mining industry, focus on mining equipment understanding the sales cycle
• At least 5 years of experience in a sales role with a proven track record of building and fostering strong relationships as well as growing the business
• Bilingual an asset - English and French
• MUST be able to TRAVEL throughout the assigned regions 30-40% of the time
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage client expectations
• Strong communicator with the ability to build strong and long-term relationships
• The ability to identify and pursue opportunities within the market
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Technical aptitude
