What you’ll get to do:

Support strong prefeasibility process ensuring limited time and resources are spent on high-value projects.

Ensure robust project management for all projects, especially above $250k.

Develop conceptual and final plans, estimates, schedules and designs for capital projects.

Direct and coordinate general plant arrangements, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of assigned capital projects with a focus on completing projects within scope, on time and within budget while achieving the desired levels of operational performance.

Manage outside engineering, fabrication, and construction contractors in multiple disciplines in close coordination with the purchasing team.

Prepare accurate, regular and timely progress and cost reports during project execution and manage the process of project completion, commissioning, acceptance, and closure.

Meet end-user expectations with a focus on Best Value Design for functional effectiveness, long term reliability, and ease of maintenance.

Support, facilitate and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training.

Provide engineering and construction services to Operations for improving operational efficiencies and process flows.­

Who we are looking for:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Mining Engineering preferred.  Other disciplines with equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Licensing: Professional Engineer (P.E.) with ability to acquire licenses in other states as required.

10 plus years’ experience in engineering and construction in the Aggregate Industry preferred.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of crushed stone and sand/gravel processing plants, RMX plants, crushing and sizing equipment, water handling equipment, water recovery equipment, conveyor haulage systems, and dust control systems.

Proven history of effective project delivery.  References to be provided.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, AggFlow, and Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.

Excellent personal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers and contractors both verbally and in writing.

Highly motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision in a multi-task, dynamic, team environment.

Ability to travel throughout the Region with occasional extended project assignments. Willingness to travel between 25% and 50%.
