Reporting To: Mining Operations Manager

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic? We are looking for a Customer Support Supervisor that will be responsible for providing operational leadership to the on-site team and will be accountable for meeting critical project/business goals whilst leveraging global safety best practices and sustainable processes. As the key daily point of contact for our mining customer, you will help them achieve world class Caterpillar fleet productivity and reliability through your leadership and team initiatives.




Key Accountabilities

  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Motivate and develop Technicians and other team staff to achievepersonal andteam performance objectives as aligned toRegionaland Corporategoals and established plans to ensure service key indicators are met
  • Act as the key contact for daily customer inquiries and effectively resolve customer and supplier issues to ensure high customer loyalty
  • Generate and present monthly reports including maintenance and production fleet performance reports
  • Participate and lead strategic planning initiatives (which include but not limited to); succession planning, labour and parts planning, career development plans, product problem management and asset strategy planning
  • Provide input on capital expenditure requirements, operating policies, communication and projects forRegional Operations
  • Lead and take part in all meetings related to health and safety and product management


Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education with a focus in mining and/or operations management in addition to 3 – 5 years of supervisory and equipment management experience
  • Highly safety conscious and customer-centric with the proven ability to build and sustain customer relationships through effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual - verbal communication skills in English and French is an asset
  • Experience with Toromont or another Cat dealer is preferred
  • Established negotiating, planning, analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be able to effectively manage competing deadlines in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Applications
  • Knowledge of DBS, CAT SIS, or experience with similar systems would be an asset
  • Self-motivated, independent and a team player with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Valid Driver's Licence with a clean Driver's Abstract
  • Willingness to travel to remote mine sites in support of the business needs
