Position Purpose:

  • This person will be responsible for coordination of service technicians to perform routine and emergency service work at customer sites, schedule Preventive Maintenance work, and maintain required documentation. The documents will include service call paperwork, purchase orders, and other key information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take service calls from customers and create work order in Company System.
  • Dispatch work orders to the field techs according to priority, according to field tech skill level and within specified travel time allowances.
  • Maintain Preventive Maintenance schedules by adding new Preventative Maintenance Contracts (PM)’s to computer tracking system, making the initial road tech assignments at the beginning of each month and scheduling completion date with customers.
  • Schedule Preventive Maintenance assignments and communicate requirement and due date to field technicians.
  • Report work order status as required by Service Manager.
  • Research and promptly communicate customer complaints to the Service Manager. Provide complaint details with proper documentation and propose potential resolution.
  • Promotes an atmosphere of good will and accountability between the company and the customer. Act in professional manner and provides a superior level of customer service and satisfaction. Building trust with customer personnel through your honesty and integrity.


  • Effectively communication skills to communicate with customers, co-workers and management.
  • Working knowledge of service operations in an equipment dealership.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to learn and use a service dispatch tracking computer system.
  • A strong customer service mentality.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires sitting for extended periods of time over 90% of the work period to complete detailed work, typically using a PC. The position occasionally requires working extended periods to meet time sensitive deadlines.
