Job Description

  • This position is responsible for receiving customer orders and scheduling trucking for delivery of rock and sand, asphalt, ready mix concrete and other construction material products. Individual will assure the correct products and quantities are delivered in a timely manner, maintain records of daily production orders, respond to customer questions and concerns by phone and in person to maintain good customer relations, weighs trucks to insure that the material is correct and the right weight, computes accounts receivable to insure accuracy of cash sales and receipts. Manages daily cash sales and collection of cash, checks and credit card transactions. Completes cash reconciliation, product sales and other reports daily. May be responsible for banking deposits. On occasion, will be required to fill in at other locations throughout the New Mexico market. Other duties may be assigned as required.


  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. One to two years’ experience that has included dispatching, customer relations, and construction/transportation is required. Previous dispatch, administrative and sales experience is preferred. Telephone, keyboard, computer and 10-key operator experience is required.

Special Skills and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of paving and construction materials; trucks and transportation requirements and regulations (state highway weight regulations and laws and knowledge of customer hauling trucks and their capacities). Skill in using computers to record information and create reports; providing excellent customer service by phone and in person; making basic mathematical computations; scheduling and organizing large numbers of people and equipment efficiently and quickly; reading maps. Ability to work independently and make decisions; memorize and recall detailed information; to communicate effectively with customers as well as truckers; work independently and make decisions; memorize and recall detailed information; handle multiple tasks concurrently; work well under pressure. Must have good knowledge of products, inventories and the location of materials on Company property and be flexible and able to work unusual work schedules, if needed, based on customer demand.
