Position Summary:
The goal of the KIE design-build management group is to employ experienced design-build professionals to develop standards, offer training and provide support to the various operation districts and projects on design-build work so that a successful outcome can be achieved. Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking an Early Career Design-Build Engineer.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Understands drawings and specs
• Provides accurate and timely take offs that are traceable back to drawings
• Files project documents efficiently and accurately based on document control process
• Draft effective RFIs and grasp contractual portions within the RFIs
• Understands contractual risks for operation and impacts of change on resources
• Identifies and Quantifies additional work
• Understands and practices construction means and methods for limited operations

Expertise Required:
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree, or equivalent experience in a construction-related position
• 0-4 years of related professional experience in the construction field
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
• Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
• Ability to travel as business requires (50-75%)
