Job Qualifications

Requires minimum of an Associates degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent area of study

Must have 2+ years’ experience hands-on/managing cabling installation, testing, and fault diagnosing and configuring network switches/routers from a command line

Sound understanding of IP Networks (routing, subnets) and ability to perform basic diagnostics (familiar with Ping, trace route) required

 Knowledge of CLI and OS commands, examples being Cisco IOS, JUNOS, HP Provision or ComWare etc. required

Must have intermediate computer skills with MS Office (Word and Excel) for trouble-shooting, site logs, and email

Experience with Linux CLI, accessing devices with SSH, and wireless and RF technologies preferred

State Low Voltage licensing and MSHA certification preferred

Travel requirements include up to 50% annual travel. Substantial travel required with short notice (approx. 50+% of the time). Travel is by air and/or automobile and will require overnight stays and may require ability to occasionally travel internationally.

Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Understanding of basic electrical and/or experience working with low voltage preferred

Willingness to learn new skills and be trained in electronic products

Keen interest in providing a superior level of customer service and support to clients

Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Work environments include surface and underground mines, construction sites, welding and fabrication shops

Must be physically able to access and board mining and construction equipment on site, climb ladder, and lift products in compliance with OHSA and MSHA regulations
