Position Summary:

  • The purpose of this position is to maintain and deliver a variety of raw materials to the Delay Department and the operators.  This position will accurately provide raw materials and identify finished product and deliver and store them neat and orderly in proper storage areas.  The position also maintains a standardized cleaning in the area.  

Core Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations
  • Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values
  • Must learn basic knowledge of the cap plant line in order to deliver proper materials at proper times.
  • Maintain proper stocking levels of raw materials.
  • Ensure Operators have raw materials they need to run efficient operations.
  • Operator must maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the Cap Plant by doing the following: Sweep and/or mop floors and dock area; clean and supply areas.
  • Perform other organizational or cleaning activities as instructed by team lead or supervisor.  
  • May be required to remove snow/ice from the facility walkway areas or dock areas and apply ice-melt.
  • Be a self-sufficient or a self-starter to do the job with minimum supervision.

Technical Competencies

Education:

  • High School Education or GED equivalent

Experience:

  • Manufacturing experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Technical experience a plus
  • Ability to read and write English, perform basic math and to learn SAP functions
  • Must satisfy the requirements for a “possessor of explosives” as defined by BATFE
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Safety rules, Work Instructions, Process Specs, Quality Plans and Packaging Standards
