An excellent opportunity for Geologist has arisen to join our Engineering Department. Residentially based in Wahana Coal Mine Project.

Some of your duties will include:
  • To provide and ensure competent – professional geologist function, including geological model - reserve, geological analysis, quantity – quality control, and technical support for mine planning and operation activities so as to meet the target, well implemented, and maximize recovery in the most cost efficient manner, while ensuring a safe professional environment is maintained.
  • In collaboration with Senior Mine Planning Engineer; review and interpret the data to create a geological database; assist, control, and advice the models development by external consultants or Jakarta Head Office engineering group; calculate, analyse, and evaluate the risk of the model including qualitative, quantitative, and rank data of the reserve/ resources from the model
  • Coordinate, control, communicate, and ensure the operation has to follow coal mining procedure, good mining practice, and record - report properly as per quantity – quality
  • Coordinate, control, communicate, and ensure the all coal getting process and inventory are updated by survey with proper data (Roof / Floor) and high accuracy degree

What skills and experience do you need?
  • Applicants should have a minimum Bachelor Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering with minimum of 5 years professional experience in large open cut mining and mine engineering a s Geologist;
  • Understanding of Geological Principles, Mining Equipment and Applications;
  • Understanding and demonstrating Engineering Software and Computer Data Management(i.e: Minescape and MS Office)
  • Possess government certification of POP (Pratama Competency Test);
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and proficient in computer literacy; strong leadership; self-motivated; team player; supportive; analytical thinking and think strategically; communicative; and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.
