Description:

  • Facilitate the rental of equipment and attachments by arranging availability, executing and revising contracts, invoicing, tracking inventory, and coordinating the return process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and monitor rental contracts, make changes as required, manage invoicing, close contracts and verify accuracy. Verify customer account and insurance status.
  • Process equipment requests from sales and other sources by matching and prioritizing available inventory with requests.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by confirming actual equipment information and updating / auditing system transactions. Perform inventory counts as required.
  • Coordinate maintenance needs of inbound and outbound equipment with Service department and Rental Maintenance Coordinator to ensure equipment availability.
  • Coordinate equipment transportation with Sales staff, customers, Service, and [Company] Transportation Coordinator to ensure delivery commitments are met cost effectively.
  • Maintain equipment inventory levels appropriate for local needs by monitoring demand trends and reservations, then working with the Equipment Manager to meet those needs.
  • Limited operation of equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • 3+ years’ experience working with equipment rentals preferred

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients and other employees

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference and volume
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Computer Skills

  • Knowledge of database software, Internet software, manufacturing software and order processing systems
