Job Summary:

  • Creates the learning “story” in a logical/interactive format (including translation) that promotes adoption by the learner.

Job Duties:

  • Designs and develops instructor led and on-line course content and materials for various L&D topics.
  • Coordinates instructional design projects from inception to completion acting as project leader providing the creative thought and guidance needed to deliver quality learning initiatives and programs in a timely manner.
  • Develops instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques and appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices related to projects assigned.
  • Provides guidance and support as needed to the production of learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support learning.
  • Researches and makes recommendations related to relevant instructional resources, technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support learning.
  • Works with and maintains a relationship with subject matter experts to develop course materials and content.
  • Packages content & graphics into segmented packets for e-delivery.
  • Informs L&D management of any inconsistencies and possible conflicts in materials being presented.
  • Applies understanding of stakeholder needs or perspectives as the basis for communications and decision making.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication.
  • Performs other/additional duties as assigned by Supervisor


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Behavior required; may consider professional experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • Masters in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior or related field preferred.
  • Prefer 6-8 years’ of training / learning and development experience, including proven experience relevant to functional assignments. Experience in energy industry/business is preferred.
  • Basic computer and MS Office skills.
