We have a great opportunity for an Intern - Mining Application Engineer to join our team supporting our facility in Milwaukee, WI.  

Primary responsibilities of the role are:

  • Provide mining application support to the product management and MinePro organization for the sales and applications of [Company] equipment.
  • Able to conduct equipment selection and production estimates for different mining applications.
  • Generate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models and other applicable mining justification methods to identify equipment advantages.
  • Support operational application issues for Rotary Drills, Draglines, and Shovels, including both mining operations evaluations for effectiveness, and production studies.
  • Conduct equipment selection and scheduling at a mine site (typically 1-2 mine visits to work on regional projects occur). Field study projects will depend on current regional support demands.
  • Provide support in completion of MARC Contract studies and CPH evaluations for budgeting and planning processes.
  • Track [Company] Equipment Production rates to establish and maintain a useable database of actual rates.
  • Mining equipment value analysis.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) projects with validation studies.
  • Complete internal and external presentations on work results.
  • Provide support to customer specific Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.


  • Student, of at least Freshman academic standing, seeking a Mining Engineering Bachelor degree with previous mining experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Draglines, Drills, Shovels, and haulage operations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required.  Confidence in overall knowledge of practical mining applications will help these skills.
  • Ability to explain complex procedures in a simple matter that everyone can understand.
