[Company] located in Clayton, MO is seeking a qualified individual for a paid Finance Department Internship (June - Aug 2017) to work in support of our Corporate Treasury Department.

[Company] is a leading vertically-integrated global manufacturer and distributor of chemical products and a leading U.S. manufacturer of ammunition. [Company] is the world’s leading producer of chlor alkali products and vinyls, the number one supplier of epoxy materials, the number one global seller of membrane caustic soda and chlorinated organics and the number one North American seller of chlorine, bleach and hydrochloric acid.  Winchester's principal manufacturing facilities produce and distribute sporting ammunition, law enforcement ammunition, reloading components, small caliber military ammunition and components and industrial cartridges.

  • The activities associated with this internship are to support various finance projects related to [Company] Corporate Treasury organization and will offer a student an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a corporate finance environment.   The intern selected for the program will typically organize, collect and analyze data, report results, handle certain administrative tasks, and other activities as needed. They will be exposed to a full-service global Treasury organization and the myriad of tasks related to the banking administration, daily cash, global cash forecast, foreign currency risk mitigation and debt management processes.
  • The intern will be expected to work safely and to learn to complete their assignments independently.  Applicants must also be able to relate and communicate professionally with co-workers at various levels, and show ability to change priorities and handle multiple tasks. Teamwork and cooperation, as well as independent initiative are critical as well as proficient experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Our expectations of you as an intern are high. We will push you to help you realize your potential in your current work assignment. We expect you to contribute, participate in meetings and team building – everything a full-time, permanent team member would do. We also encourage you to spend time participating in community outreach efforts, learning from senior accountants and treasury professionals. You will make new friends and meet people who will help make you successful at [Company] .
  • Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in a Business, Finance, Accounting or Tax Degree program at an accredited local College or University.
  • Students must be at least 18 years old and able to work full-time during the Summer of 2017.
  • Must be competent with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • All candidates that receive a job offer will be required to pass a drug screen, medical evaluation and background check
