As a direct result of this growth and a desire to surpass international benchmarks, a position has been created for a recognised international expert in Underground Mining as the Head-Mining Operations (Underground). You will provide a planning and leadership role in the management of the existing underground operations. The primary focus will be on improving the productivity and efficiency of the underground mining methods used across the group. .
You will Possess:
· Experience in Project Management, Mine Development, feasibility study and mine expansions
· 15 years minimum experience in Underground Mining in hard rock metalliferous mines
· A background in mine planning, cost estimation and scheduling of an underground project yielding 3 Mtpa or more
· Experience in the supervision of underground mining operations,
· Relevant Tertiary Qualifications with post-graduate qualifications being highly regarded;
· An exceptional leadership ability to manage teams with conviction and appropriate cultural sensitivity
· A proactive focus on process improvement and technology transfer
