Senior Vice-President - Business Development - Mining

A Global Management Consulting firm in business since 1946, based in the South East US, who is looking for a Senior Vice- President to sell their services to the mining industry in North America.
 
Focusing on the President or CEO of the company, you will carry out an initial business review with a client and will show potential productivity savings for that client typically in the $5-15 million dollar range. Any one project will last no longer than 6 months.
 
The person can be located from a home base anywhere in North America. No cold calling required.
 
Base salary at 150K USD plus bonuses which typically will produce total annual earnings in excess of 600K with no cap. Must have strong operational background with P&L responsibility in the $100 million range and demonstrated sales success to senior level decision makers in the mining industry.
 
A leading global management consulting firm, specializing in delivery of sustainable improvements in earnings and cash flow at no net cost to our clients.  Our combined organization operates world-wide with offices on five continents, and has been in business for more than 60 years.

 

Position will combine business acumen and past expertise with a strong understanding of our services and benefits.  Selling style will be a combination of fact-based research and high-level strategy.  Ideal candidates will relate to challenges of our CEO clients and will be skilled in expressing how our services can provide solutions.

 

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (in a non-IT environment):

 

  • Past President or CEO of a large operation; highly experienced in sales to include intangible selling at the C-level; OR
  • Partner or Senior Executive in a major consulting services firm; demonstrated history of sales to Presidents / C-level executives of large firms; OR
  • Senior Executive in a Fortune 1000 corporation; successful sales background with strong P&L experience

 

The level of client contact and negotiation requires candidates be comfortable working with C-level executives; have exemplary sales skills; understand the problems / issues associated with running a large business; and demonstrate exceptional communication skills and boardroom presence.  Extensive travel is required, depending on the region or specialty to be covered.
