Senior Metallurgist

Coeur Alaska is recruiting a Senior Metallurgist for its Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.  We are seeking talented candidates who have the ability to motivate employees and work effectively to achieve Company goals and objectives for a world class underground gold mine.

Responsibilities:

Experience:  The successful candidate must have a BA or BS in Metallurgical Engineering or related field.  Minimum of five (5) years experience in operations or technical support, two (2) years in floatation experience preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail, a clear sense of priorities, effective time management skills; result / team orientation and superior business service sense required.  Self-motivated individual with the reputation of having a consistent sustained initiative within an organizational environment.  Basic working knowledge and skills with a P.C. utilizing word processing and spreadsheet programs.  Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
