The Sourcing Analyst is accountable to the Service Delivery Manager for contributing to the key roles of the sourcing engine. Other responsibilities may include ongoing market research, key commodity tracking, supply chain analysis, decision analysis, e-sourcing support, and sourcing analysis of strategic categories under the assigned quadrant(s).
This role calls for an understanding of procurement best practices, Commercial Law and Mining requirements. Directs and oversees strategic procurement functions. Familiar with a variety of supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan, negotiate, and deliver on a predefined outcome. Performs a variety of tasks and duties as assigned.
Outputs:

Contribute to the key roles of the Service Delivery Team

Contribute to ensuring suppliers are selected on the basis of safety, innovation, quality, service and price.

Complete all required sourcing documentation requirements and ensure the proper approvals are obtained and filed with the project.

Liaison with relevant key end users to audit outcomes vs. contractual commitments, evaluate industry best practice and benchmarking, develop key performance indicators, and assist or facilitate contract dispute resolution.

Assist in resolving any issues identified during the Business Unit (BU) or supplier execution of the contract throughout the Procure to Pay process.

Assist with miscellaneous supply chain activities including:

Participate in the Contractor Management System process

Provide analytical support to supply change MRO projects and key end users

Market research, supplier analysis, decision analysis of proposals and suppliers, and financial analysis of suppliers.
Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years related work experience in commercial analysis and negotiation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Project, Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Access) is essential and Ellipse (MIMS) or SAP experience preferred.

Strong communication, motivation, and desire to work as team player.
