Project Manager

Datamine, one of the world’s leading software developers for the mining industry, is going through a massive growth period both in terms of business as well as resources to carry out that business around the world. As a part of its expansion plan, Datamine is looking for a senior management position for its office in the UK, reporting to the General Manager.

For the senior management position (for the role of Project Manager), we are seeking a professional with a background in implementing large scale IT related software solutions. The ideal candidate would have served many years on mine sites around the world either as an employee or consultant and is now ready to exercise his or her business and client management skills in a consulting role based in the UK but with frequent international travel. The candidate will also have very strong written and personal presentation skills.

The job profile of this role includes, but not limited to:

Ø       Use Datamine’s in-house Implementation Methodology and Project Management techniques to manage client projects to ensure all commitments are delivered, within budget and on time, to the satisfaction of the customer.

Ø       Manage and build a small team of professionals (mining engineers and geologists) to execute the projects

Ø       Ensure that the customer realises the benefit of the investment, through proper implementation of the project.

Ø       Generate Project update reports and final sign off reports for the customer on behalf of Datamine International.

Ø       Co-ordinate with Datamine Software Division to resolve any issues with the customer.
