Field Technician - NSW
Reporting to the Plant Technical Superintendent, the key purpose of this position is to perform repairs and maintenance on mobile and fixed plant in accordance with standard working procedures and manufacturer's specifications in a safe manner.
Specifically, the role is accountable for:
· Compliance to company housekeeping and safety procedures and policies
· Application of technical skills to perform maintenance tasks as per scheduled works
· Completion of work system documentation and return to regional maintenance coordinator
· Field breakdown queries during normal business hours
· Report and rectify workplace hazards
· Travel to regional sites as required per scheduled work
· Assist stores with parts identification and sourcing
· Complete training and development as required to suit business needs
· Proactively participate in continual improvement of maintenance processes and equipment development
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess trade certification (electrical or mechanical), have a good level of computer literacy and be able to work unsupervised.
Downer EDI Mining - Blasting Services are seeking applicants with mining or an equivalent background with sound written and verbal communication skills. Automotive, process and/or mobile equipment experience is desirable.
The position will involve travel to the various sites located in Regional NSW, including the Hunter Valley Region whilst based near Singleton.
