Where Mining Finds Its People

Jobs on CareerMine expire for many reasons. Either the employer has requested the advanced expiration of the job (as the vacancy has been filled or cancelled), or the job ad has expired after its normal running-time of 60 days within the CareerMine system. While there is the possibility that the vacancy may still be active, it is most likely that it has been filled or cancelled; otherwise it would be on CareerMine still.

It is strongly advised that you do not contact the company or advertising agency regarding this, or any other expired role, for the purposes of gaining employment with that company. Companies often impose strict penalties on job seekers who go outside of the established channels, to contact the employer regarding vacancies. (Employers have also made it clear in the past, that sourcing expired jobs and contacting them regarding their status, is one of these non-established routes.)

President & CEO - Junior Mining Company

This is an opportunity to take on the senior-most role with a mining company with short-term production feasibility. With a market cap of over $30 million, this company still qualifies as a junior, but its well above the micro-caps out there. They have zero debt and several million dollars in the bank to support their resource expansion drilling programs. The fundamentals on the property are amazing - nearby port facilities, easily accessible inexpensive power, no land claims issues, and a business-friendly government.

The genuine goal here is to produce a mine. This will require a good leader that also has proven skills in all the steps towards getting a mine into production. Experience with financing, permitting, and even familiarity with the marketing of concentrates will be key assets.

Compensation is in-line with executive-level standards. The $200K base salary is simply meant to pay the bills. The more important component is the half-million stock options, giving the right individual significant upside potential.

The right person for this role will not only be capable of getting the job done, but they will also impress the investors. We're not only looking for a capable, intelligent person here - we need a person with applicable accomplishments in their career that would make for an impressive news release. The right person could feasibly come from either the financing or geological side – our primary interest here is a proven track record of moving a project towards production.

Any application will be treated confidentially. I'm familiar with this process and I fully recognize the sensitivity of the information being provided when one expresses an interest in an executive role. After all, the right person for this role will almost certainly already be employed. Your information will only be provided to my client only after your expressed permission to do so, which would only come after we have an in-depth discussion on the role and my client.
