Coeur Alaska is recruiting a Metallurgist for its Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provides daily technical support to mill operations.
  • Responsible for day-to-day efficiency of the mill’s production.
  • Develops and executes lab and plant metallurgical studies aimed at improving mill throughput, recovery and costs.
  • Responsible for mill metallurgical accounting practices and review of daily, monthly, and annual metallurgical reports.
  • Has specific responsibility for establishing the gravity circuit operating guidelines and for optimization of circuit performance.
Experience:
The successful candidate must have a BA or BS in Metallurgical Engineering or related field. Minimum of five (5) years experience in operations or technical support, two (2) years in floatation experience preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail, a clear sense of priorities, effective time management skills; result / team orientation and superior business service sense required. Self-motivated individual with the reputation of having a consistent sustained initiative within an organizational environment. Basic working knowledge and skills with a P.C. utilizing word processing and spreadsheet programs. Ability to work
independently and as a part of a team.
