Manager, Global Product Planning
Serve as the SAP system expert for all Materials Management, Production Planning and Inventory Management processes for the business. Provide functional direction, strategy and vision for Sales Forecasts, Demand Planning, Production & Capacity Planning, and Inventory Optimization. Develop the ability to determine which sites(s) should produce which products to best meet customer demand.
- Lead the planning functions for one of the major market segments, Metallurgical or Chemical, for short term, mid-term and long term planning utilizing SAP as a tool while leveraging the global planning team.
- Manage collaborative production and capacity planning processes for mining/processing sites to ensure production smoothing and optimization.
- Develop and maintain, as needed, master data, reporting, key performance metrics and ad-hoc analyses as required.
- Lead the forecasting process with Sales/Marketing enabling effective planning with and/or without constraints.
- Global Inventory Management utilizing target inventories, safety stocks, coverage profiles that are tailored to meet the business requirements.
- Develop, implement and maintain Order Scheduling Methodologies utilizing ATP.
- BS/BA degree required. Masters, MBA or advanced degree will be given additional consideration.
- 5-10 years of direct Planning and Inventory Management (Raw Material and Finished Goods) experience, preferably in mining or chemicals industry.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a production environment.
- Relevant knowledge and understanding of planning and forecasting systems and their set-up's for support of ERP system implementation. SAP experience is preferred.
- Leadership and influencing skills are key to the success of this role. Strong communications, both verbal and written, must be demonstrated.
- Excellent analytical abilities with a strong proficiency in MS Excel.
- Excellent presentation skills with a strong proficiency in MS PowerPoint.

- Minimal travel will be required.
