Warehouse Manager
**Position located in the Democratic Republic of Congo**
The incumbent will provide overall supervision of the warehouse, warehouse activities and employees. The individual selected for this role will ensure the proper training of employees, setting of performance goals, organization of work and the maintenance of a safe, productive and motivational climate. In addition, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for communicating clear direction and coordinating the activities associated with this function in order to meet customer (internal and external) requirements in an efficient manner.
Additional responsibilities:
- Provide general company and facility information, methods and operating changes; while also administering job assignments, safety training, shift assignments and disciplinary actions as necessary with the assistance for HR.
- Supervise the warehouse operations by establishing and maintaining policies and procedures for quality, quantity and service standards.
- Recommend facility, material handling and inventory control equipment enhancements. Participate in planning, decisions and implementation.
- Assist with input for business plans and budgets, monitor budget performance, and prepare reports to management on productivity and significant activities and trends.
- Bachelor's degree-Business Administration or Materials Management or equivalent experience in traffic and distribution.
- Seven (7) years materials management and/or warehousing experience. Capable of utilizing computer systems involved with inventory location control (BPCS preferred), billing/packaging list generation, bills of lading generation, etc.
- Three (3) years in a supervisory role.
- Practical troubleshooting and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of material usage, inventory control techniques and planning systems
- Capability of handling and prioritizing multiple projects. Ability to maintain a teamwork environment.
- Demonstrate efficient verbal and writing skills.
- Assist management with special analyses of inventory control, turnover, and cost of goods, etc.
