Project Controls Specialists

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop, implement, and direct the total Project Controls program on projects
  • Implement the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures to ensure that data are converted correctly from the original estimate to the Project Controls system
  • Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
  • Contribute to the proposal efforts for cost/scheduling activities
  • Review project profit recognition. Provide evaluation of opportunities with management
  • Maintain working knowledge of the functionality of automated cost management systems
  • Serve as Control Team Leader on medium-sized projects, if necessary
  • Provide meaningful, accurate historical data
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Basic Job Requirements
  • Prefer a Masters degree, or a four-year Bachelors technical degree or nontechnical Bachelors degree with business and computer software courses plus two years of relevant Engineering, Construction, or Project Controls experience.
  • If not degreed, minimum of six years of relevant Engineering, Construction, or Project Controls experience required. A relevant certificate or diploma may be taken into account for the number of years of experience.
  • Must have had leadership roles as a Lead Cost or Scheduler for a medium to large sized project.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Primavera skills.
  • Planning/Scheduling experience.
  • Good command of the English language.
