Position Description
  • The GPD of iPas Systems will work within a Global Steering Committee and Global Practice Directors to constantly improve the delivery of the Hatch core systems and promote the implementation and training of the systems in conjunction with Hatch Corporate Learning Centre. The GDP will also lead and manage; iPas Functional Support Leads, Set-up and Implementation Teams globally.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Establish a Steering Committee to evaluate the impact of development and integration of applications.
  • Organize and chair the Steering Committee on a quarterly basis.
  • Present Functional systems Specs developed by Business Analysts.
  • Ensure Functional Integration of Practice Requirements and Development and understanding of 
  • Implementations.
  • Coordinate and resolve inter-discipline/inter-system matters with the Steering Committee.
  • Liaise with Global Practice Directors to investigate and evaluate potential solutions for Project and
  • Construction Management Systems applications as well as their integration.
  • Manage the development and implementation of Project and Construction Management Systems with input from appropriate business input.
  • Primary point of contact to evaluate integration and impact for other applications.
  • Coordinate with the Global, Regional and Hub Practice Leads the development of procedures, workflows, and
  • Checklists to set up and implement Hatch’s Project and Construction Management Systems.
  • Plan and coordinate with the Global Practice Directors and iPas Functional Support Leads any development, in particular development across applications.
  • Liaise with Global Practice Directors and iPas Functional Support Leads for the development of business requirements.
  • Liaise with Functional Support Leads to identify local champions for each tool in each hub to coordinate with the practice rather than each practice doing its own development.
  • Collect and evaluate best practices for each Hub.
  • Establish and manage Project and Construction Management Systems support teams in all Hubs globally to ensure the systems are implemented consistently throughout the company.
  • Liaise with Project teams to ensure the most effective use and implementation of iPas.
  • Manage pool of resources in all Hubs to support projects during set-up and implementation phase.
  • Liaise with Project System Manager Operations Lead to ensure the set up and implementation of Hatch’s Project and Construction Management Systems best follow Hatch’s global work processes.
  • Review project set-up and implementation processes to identify gaps, apply lessons learned and improve the process.
  • Collect and evaluate set-up and implementation best practices for each Hub.
  • Liaise between Steering Committee and Business Analysts.
  • Review Functional Specifications with Business Analysts prior to seeking approval from Steering Committee.
  • Establish and manage a Practice Knowledge Program across the Project and Construction Management Systems.
  • Engage HCLC, Functional Support Leads and Practice Leads to develop Practice Knowledge Program for Project and Construction Management Systems.
 
Qualifications
  • Successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of Engineering experience specifically with the set up
  • and implementation and design of systems and management of teams and projects
  • University Degree in computer science and or Engineering discipline
  • MBA with a international focus
  • Working technical experience with designing structures, theories, principles and practices as well as
  • Engineering applications and data produced databases on Windows/Intel platform
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Proven analytical, interpretive and problems solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills using various mediums
  • Ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary Engineering and design teams and manage multiple projects
  • Effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment based on deliverables and
  • deadlines
  • Strong client focus and approach to Project systems
  • Proven leadership skills and abilities
