Senior Sustainability Consultant

Our client is an international consulting business, based in the UK. They provide an integrated range of engineering, environmental, planning and management consulting services to the transport, property, development, environmental, water and renewable energy sectors.
 
About the Role:
You will manage and carry out sustainability strategies, energy strategies and building appraisals for projects throughout the construction life cycle with particular emphasis on the planning stage. The ideal candidate will have experience in undertaking Leed assessments, as well as experience in managing and delivering one or more of the following appraisal methods; BREEAM/Codes or CEEQUAL.
 
You should be confident in their ability to manage projects including monitoring the progress of work in relation to deadlines (milestones) and also working with clients to bring the project to a conclusion on time and on budget. There is also a business development aspect to this role and you will need to prepare and write proposals and marketing material.
 
Requirements:
·         Your first degree in a specialist environmental discipline such as Ecology, Biology, Geology or equivalent and ideally a second degree in Environmental Science/Management/Design/Engineering or equivalent.
·         You will have proven experience in a consultancy and working knowledge of sustainability strategies/Appraisals/LEED / Green Star / EcoHomes & BREEAM
·         Knowledge of the planning system would be desirable.
