Parts Manager

Our client, an organization specializing in the sales, leasing and rental of heavy equipment, in operation for over 25 years, is seeking a Parts Manager for their Sudbury branch.  Reporting to the General Manager, the purpose of this position is to manage and direct all aspects of the parts department’s operations to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and branch profitability.
 
Duties:
  • Inventory control to ensure that service and manufacturing departments can function efficiently
  • Supervise 5 staff members working in the department, such as shipping/receiving, parts counter clerks and purchasing clerks)
  • Parts marketing
  • Hire and train department personnel; perform employee reviews on a timely basis and play a role in employee’s professional growth by supervising their development training program
  • Monitor and report on department operations 
 
Requirements:
  • Management experience in a warehousing/customer service environment with an understanding of heavy equipment; specifically for mining, forestry and construction equipment
  • Experience in an ISO certified organization an asset
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong organization and dispute resolution skills
