Finance Accountant

Job Description:
 
A company is requirement a professional to cover the position of Finance Accountant who reports to Accounting Chief.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • This position is based in the mine operation at the Accounting/Finance department and is responsible for the preparation of finance reports for both mine site and corporate offices.
  • This position will also have the responsibility for the general accounting under Mexican and Canadian GAAP, month end accounting close, SAP reporting responsibilities, and review and analysis of financial information.
  • This job position will need to work closely with the accounting group and the Peñasquito Controller, reporting directly to the Accounting Chief.
 
Some Specific Responsibilities:
 
  • Monthly and Quarterly Finance reports preparation (Cost Report, Standard reporting package, cash flow statement, etc.).
  • Direct communication line between mine site and corporate offices.
  • SAP administrator on the accounting side.
  • Preparation and analysis of Canadian, Mexican and US GAAP adjustments.
  • Monthly intercompany reconciliations.
  • Generate and follow up on monthly and quarterly reserves.
  • Calculation of WIP inventory.
  • SAP General Ledger accounting.
  • Financial upload on Khailix.
  • Other responsibilities as required to ensure the proper operation of the business.
 
Requirement:
 
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs).
  • Totally bilingual – Spanish – English.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Mexican, Canadian and US GAAP knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent computers skills, mainly on Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with different areas.
  • Team work.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Degree in Accounting with C.P. designation.
  • At least 5 year experience in a similar position.
  • Mining industry experience or other extractive industry.
