Description:
·         An opportunity has now arisen within the mining division for an experienced Project Manager for a surface coal mining operation in Scotland.
·         Reporting to the Mining Director, you will have a proven track record of the management of surface coal mining operations.
·         You must display the ability to lead a multi disciplined team and interact effectively at all levels, both internally and with external stakeholders.

Requirements:
·         Possessing a thorough understanding of all relevant legislation, you will be committed to achieving the highest levels of health, safety and environmental management.

Responsibilities:
·         The implementation of site specific plans and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies for the management of health, safety and environmental matters.
·         Effective management and control of resources to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the mine, in accordance with all planning and statutory requirements.
·         Preparation, implementation and achievement of mining plans, operating budgets and production forecasts.
·         Progress monitoring, analysis and reporting. Customer liaison to ensure that successful relationships are developed and maintained and those contractual commitments are achieved. Management of human resources, including industrial relations and training and development of staff.
