Senior Open Pit Mine Geologist

Our client, a significant Australian mining company boasting two gold mining operations and a third development project within Australasia, is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Senior Mine Geologist for their latest operation in New Zealand.
 
Reporting to the Mine Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead the Mine Geology team to ensure their safety in the excellence in ore definition and grade protection - through the application of sound grade control and ore modelling practices.
 
As the most senior Geological professional on site, your previous demonstrated track record of success as a Senior Open Pit (O/P) Mine Geologist, together with your open and effective communication and team leadership style, will help ensure your success in this key role.
 
Being residential in the northwest of the South Island of New Zealand, you will enjoy an enviable family friendly lifestyle opportunity that leaves you feeling that work and life is just simply fantastic.
