Mine Manager

We are one of the biggest open-pit copper mines in South-East Europe region with yearly production of about 10 billion tones per year. Our business is related to mining and processing of copper and other types of ores and we produce copper concentrates, cementation and cathode copper of high quality. Among our strategic goals is to achieve a low cost-price per unit of the produced high quality metal copper and respectively for the produced concentrate, in the healthy, safe and environment friendly mining operations. In order to be in position to achieve those objectives we are currently searching to employee a high caliber mining professional for the key position of a Mine Manager

Responsible for the overall management of mine and ore-dressing plant

Main Purpose of the job:
The Mine Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the plant and for advising and supporting the huge investment project of the equipment and production facilities within next years. He/She will report to the Executive Director and to the Management Board.

The main responsibilities:

Responsible for overall organizational, production, technical and economic status of the mine and the ore dressing plant as well as for effective management of his direct subordinates structural units, as well as environmental protection, safe and healthy working conditions, vocational training and social issues of domestic workers.
To assure the smooth operation of all production facilities
A key objective is to implement and to share his solid expertise in mining industry as well to suggest to the Executive Director and to the board solutions and programs for increase of capacity of the plant and for increase of effectiveness of the work process
Develop a monthly cash flow forecast and validate the actual costs incurred within the approved by the Executive Director-monthly limits, targeted programs for the activities and tasks for which he is responsible
To organize the timely creation and updating of procedures and instructions from the integrated quality system for the activities for which he is responsible

The requirements:

Strong experience (min 5-10 years) in various parts of an open-cast copper/gold/platinum/nickel mine and/or ore-dressing copper /gold/platinum/nickel plant (filtration plant) with capacity over 5 million tons per year
Experience with project management for such plants (for the equipment, technology of the production etc).
Strong operational mining experience and strong managerial experience
English speaking person
Experience in production optimization projects would be considered as an advantage
Previous experience as Mine Manager/Production Manager/Production Director, Deputy Production Manager, Process Manager/Engineer, Manager/Head of Mining, Manager of Ore-dressing pant, Concentrator, Manager Concentrator /Technologist
ready to relocate personally and/ or with the family to SEE with the possibility to sign long-term contract
Previous experience in Europe would be an advantage
