Electrical Engineer
Fortescue Metals Group has the largest tenement holding in the Pilbara with over 4.5 billion tonnes of Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Resources and 1.1 billion tonnes of JORC Reserves. Cloudbreak, our primary mine located in the Chichester Ranges about 150 kilometres north of Newman, achieved practical completion in July 2008. We are now optimising to 55 mta. This first stage of ore production is already "sold out" to major Chinese steel mills and we have long term relationships with these mills.
Fortescue's mine team is made up of a wide range of occupations, from engineers to administrators and operators to geologists. Electrical Engineer (FIFO 8/6 ex Perth)
Key to assisting the OPF in achieving asset performance targets & correct maintenance and operations practice is:
· Assistance in developing preventative maintenance programs
· Developing maintenance and operations strategies to achieve optimum equipment reliability
· Aiding in the development and upkeep of maintenance strategies
· Preparing work schedules for areas of responsibility
· Assisting in technical issues with plant & equipment
· Electrical Engineering qualifications with at least 5 years experience within mining industry
