Description:
·         Engineering Consultancy Firm looking for a Construction Manager for a project in [Location]
·         Responsible for the construction site / mining site and has to ensure the effective management of staff and contractors.
·         Ensure that systems used and procedures applied are affective and understood by all employees.
·         Ensure that construction work is done in an effective and efficient method as per standards and specifications set out by the organization.
·         Provide business advise and interpretation regarding operations.
·         Ensure that safety standards are adhered to, to ensure legal compliance.
·         Ensure that employees work in a safe and healthy environment and set long term targets for improvements in the area
·         Ensure that labour codes of the country and the applicable clauses pertaining to the high voltage equipment installation are applied as stipulated in the prevailing Electricity Act.
·         Arrange formal meetings with clients, prepare and distribute agenda and minutes.
·         Convene work council meetings.
·         Deal with various government authorities municipalities and individuals to coordinate and proceed with the construction work.
·         Develop a trusting and mutual respect relationship with internal and external service suppliers.
·         Initiate coordinated planning and strategy processes.
·         Initiate the projects for implementation of applicable safety, regulations and codes of practices and standards.
·         Support and participate in the training and development requirements of employees by ensuring that the necessary structures and systems are in place.
·         Ensure that employees have clear work expectations and targets by developing required operational strategy.
·         10 years experience in construction work or shall have worked in the construction department of a large organization where similar construction work is undertaken of which 5 years should be in a specific sector.

Description:
·         Engineering Diploma
·         Registered as a Pr.CPM / Pr.CM
·         Registration with as a Professional construction manager with an engineering background would be an added advantage
