Human Resources (HR) Intern

·         All-inclusive allowance of R6500 per month
·         The MQA is currently recruiting an HR intern for a 12 month internship programme.
 
Job Description:
·         The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) for the Mining and Minerals Sector in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998. The MQA now requires the services of a person to All the under mentioned position in their ofAce based in[Location]. All-inclusive allowance of R6500 per month
 
The internship will cover, but will not be limited to the following areas:
·         Filing and retrieving of HR records and documents
·         Coordinating of functions, meetings and workshops including catering arrangements Administrating and updating of the leave register.
·         A Maintaining of an efficient HR filing system
·         Assisting with the recruitment and selection process
·         Providing administrative and secretarial support service in the HR Unit.
 
The candidate to be considered must have:
·         post-matric qualification in Human Resources or Human Resources Development Proficiency in MS Office
·         Good communication and sound interpersonal skills
·         An understanding of legislation and developments in respect of education and training
·         The ability to work under pressure and a proactive attitude
·         Knowledge of the mining and minerals sector will be advantageous.
 
The internship will cover, but will not be limited to the following areas:
·         Providing technical support on learnerships and apprenticeship administration
·         Assisting with the registration of learnerships, apprenticeships and skills programmes with the Department of Labour
·         Providing a service to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with MQA customer service standards
·         Providing administrative support to the Learning Programmes Unit
Performing any other tasks delegated by the Learning Programmes Of Acer, Specialist or Manager
