Employee Relations Specialist

Description:
·         Largest producer of high quality manganese based in [Location] has a vacancy for an Employee Relations Specialist.
 
Minimum Requirements:
·         National Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in either Human Resources Management or Labour Relations
·         4-6 Years working experience in labour relations management conciliation, arbitration, case management and dispute and grievance resolution)
·         At least one year working experience in employee benefits
·         Extensive knowledge of the Labour Relations Act; Basic Conditions of Employment Act;Pension Fund Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act.
 
Core Accountabilities:
·         Management of labour relations functions by providing advice on IR/ER issues, facilitating disciplinary hearings and representing the organisation at CCMA and MEIBC
·         Facilitation of wage negotiations with relevant parties in order to ensure that the bi-annual wage negotiations are carried out efficiently and effectively
·         Liaison with the recognised Union on issues of mutual interest in order to promote sound industrial relations
·         Co-ordination of employment equity functions in order to achieve set targets, as well as facilitation diversity within the workplace
·         Proposal and administration of employee benefits in order to ensure benefits during career entry and exit
·         Coordination of employee wellness programme in order to ensure a healthy and productive workforce
·         To assist in IR policy formulation in order to meet changing legislative requirements as well as new organisational developments
Administrative functions related to the above accountabilities, including reporting and trend analysis.
