Materials Engineer / Metallurgist

This candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level technical knowledge and analysis support of materials science/metallurgy for the chemical and metallurgy lab at our client's headquarters.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performing SEM analysis and operating the SEM/EDS system
  • Direct and support materials development projects
  • Assist in new product material selection and evaluation
  • Conduct and train others in analysis techniques
Qualifications:
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience with a varying group of metal alloys (preferably aluminum, copper and stainless steel)
  • Understanding of processing conditions used in the joining of metals and alloys
  • Expert testing and analysis background with metallography, SEM and other advanced metallurgical techniques
  • Graduate degree preferred in Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science; Bachelor's required
