Civil Engineering Business Development Representative
Business Development Representative
(Business Developer II)
[Company] has an opening in our Beaver or Moon Township, PA office for a business development representative experienced in Civil Engineering services such as geotechnical engineering, mining, and site development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify sales prospects and establish client relationship.
- Present and sell company services to current and potential clients.
- Maintain tracking databases.
- Participate in the preparation of action plans to identify sales prospects.
- Follow up on new sales leads.
- Develop and maintain sales materials.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
- Coordinate the effort of the staff necessary to close sales.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, conventions, trade shows and political events.
- Actively participate in professional organizations.
- Stay current with technology, regulations and trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum four year degree with fifteen or more years of experience.
- Technical knowledge of service areas outlined above.
- Must have established relationships with public and private sector contacts. (Must be able to provide a list of established business contacts)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to persuade and influence others.
- Ability to create and edit written materials.
- Knowledge of sales promotion techniques.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and present a positive company image.
- Able to work as a team member in cooperation within and across technical disciplines.
- Ability to train and mentor technical/project managers in sales techniques.
- National travel required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.
- Licensed Engineer or Geologist preferred, but not required.
