Civil Engineering Business Development Representative

Business Development Representative
(Business Developer II)
 
[Company] has an opening in our Beaver or Moon Township, PA office for a business development representative experienced in Civil Engineering services such as geotechnical engineering, mining, and site development.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify sales prospects and establish client relationship.
  • Present and sell company services to current and potential clients.
  • Maintain tracking databases.
  • Participate in the preparation of action plans to identify sales prospects.
  • Follow up on new sales leads.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate the effort of the staff necessary to close sales.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, conventions, trade shows and political events.
  • Actively participate in professional organizations.
  • Stay current with technology, regulations and trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum four year degree with fifteen or more years of experience.
  • Technical knowledge of service areas outlined above.
  • Must have established relationships with public and private sector contacts. (Must be able to provide a list of established business contacts)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to create and edit written materials.
  • Knowledge of sales promotion techniques.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and present a positive company image.
  • Able to work as a team member in cooperation within and across technical disciplines.
  • Ability to train and mentor technical/project managers in sales techniques.
  • National travel required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.
  • Licensed Engineer or Geologist preferred, but not required.
