·         Project in Francophone West Africa ([Location] )
·         Our Client is a major minerals company operating globally.
·         The Mining Business Unit operations cover the first phase of the energy cycle and consist of four main activities:
·         Mineral exploration (discovering new ore deposits)
·         Mining (extraction of energy minerals)
·         Ore processing and site reclamation following mining activities.
·         The company operates a number of mines and mineral process plants in Francophone West Africa.
·         The Mining BU is at the front end of the fuel cycle, the Mining business unit deals with prospecting, assessing and estimating of reserves, extracting and processing the Uranium ore, as well as with site redevelopment.
·         The Process Project Engineer – Uranium Chemistry will be attached to the department responsible for Management of the Projects, your responsibility consists of the establishment of planning for a selection of projects in development and the critical analysis of plans/ scheduling of projects in the engineering phase and going through BASIC design or process design.
·         You will be involved with mining projects, for the development or the modification of extraction and process plants related to uranium production.
 
Responsibilities:
·         To prepare drawings and designs of processes and studies through all the phases of the project;
·         To write business development literature, as well as feasibility, technical and economic reports and evaluations as to the choice of mineral process;
·         Participating in the creation of specifications for the project and to specify the main equipment required;
·         Involvement in the plan and design the chemical process, inclusive flow charts and dynamics;
·         To align process development with the other technical disciplines.
·         The position is initially based Paris, France then in the main regional city of a country in Francophone West Africa.
 
Required Profile:
·         You hold an engineering post-graduate qualification in chemical engineering or industrial chemistry;
·         You should be able to justify your experience through a minimum of 5-years involvement in a similar position on major industrial projects;
·         You should be willing to work as a contributing member of a multicultural team;
·         You are independent and determined and able to operate autonomously;
·         You are fluent in English (it is assumed you will speak a high level of French for this role).
