Process Plant Metallurgist

Under the general guidance of the Process Plant Superintendent, the Plant Metallurgist provides technical support to monitor and optimize the Diamond Processing Plant operational performance. You will enjoy working closely with Operators, Team Leaders and Engineers to continuously improve production capacity, cost efficiency, safe work practices and environmental stewardship. Emphasis is on working in multi-disciplinary teams to identify opportunities and challenges, lead change, contribute to successful implementation of projects/initiatives and report on results.
 
You possess a Degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering and 3 to 5 years experience working in the Mining / Processing industry. You will also need a positive attitude and a drive for success.
 
The [Company] Mine is located 300 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife and is accessible only by plane. The successful candidate is expected to work a schedule of 4 days on, followed by 3 days off, and reside in Yellowknife.
