Health, Safety, Environment & Training Superintendent

[Location] , you will find the farming and mining town of [Mine] , where we operate a 5.7 mtpa open cut coal project.
 
As the HSET Superintendent, you are responsible for creating a project culture where all employees give priority to health, safety, environment and training management, procedures, practices, standards and targets.
 
Leading by example, you will be ‘hands on’ in your approach with a clear focus on contributing to the implementation of project safety and environmental management plans, including HSET strategies and program delivery to minimising workplace incidents. Importantly, you will also provide project guidance in hazard identification and risk management, system development, incident investigation, monitoring programs and reporting.
 
Previous experience in a senior role and relevant tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety and/or Environmental Management are essential, as is your ability to understand workplace risk. Previous experience in managing both the health and safety and environmental risks of a business would be highly valued. Demonstrated ability to lead strategy and influence change with top level management is required.
