Site Safety Manager

[Company] is an international design, engineering and construction company with expertise in turnkey design, supply, construction and commissioning of coal processing plants and material handling systems. TAGGART provides a full range of design, engineering, project management, construction and contract operation services to the worldwide mining and power generation sectors.   We are currently seeking a Temporary Site Coordinator for jobs in Pineville, Georgetown, Moncks Corner, Canadys, & Columbia SC.  The jobs will last approximately 6 months. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administer site safety programs, monitor compliance with company, government, and OSHA policies and/or regulations.
  • Conduct compliance inspections and support and oversee subcontractor safety programs.
  • Assure that all employees, visitors and contractors are properly trained on job hazards and safe work practices.
  • Conduct safety audits as needed and represent company to regulatory inspectors (OSHA).
  • Indentify and develop safety training programs and administer job safety analysis for all key construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of safety compliance and employee training.
 
Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of working knowledge of OSHA regulations and other state and federal safety standards.
  • Experience in directly supporting the safety and health initiatives of a multi-location organization a plus.
  • Experience with OSHA, MSHA and heavy construction helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Requires an extremely motivated, self starter with a high level of organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment with customers, employees and contractors.
  • B.S. Degree preferably in Construction/Industrial Health and Safety or other related field.
  • MSHA 24 hour new miner training and Paramedic/EMT certification a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour training a plus
