Planning Engineer - Mining Projects

An experienced Planning Engineer is required to join a leading engineering firm to start some new exciting projects in South and North America. Based in their Vancouver office you will co-ordinate and plan the construction of some developing mining projects and related heavy construction.
 
A track record of successful $50+ million dollar projects will be required as well as the ability to apply your role to both a consulting and site based project. Your role may also include contract negotiations, project estimating, planning and scheduling, impending design problems, document preparation as well as construction codes and regulations.
 
Ideally you will have 10+ years experience in a planning role and will have direct experience with mining projects. Technically a professional engineer designation or PMP certification would be desired, however use and understanding of MS-Office and Primavera applications is essential alongside related scheduling and planning software.
 
The related projects to this role are in their early stage so this opportunity will also offer a long term outlook and will allow you to progress within the firm to further projects in 2010.
