Description:
Seeking a professional Lead Cost Engineer, who speaks fluent French, experienced working on heavy industrial project such as: petrochemical, oil & gas, mining, power and interested in working on international projects.  
  
Our client, a world leader in engineering and construction with office across Canada have asked us to source professionals who are experts in project costing for a new international project they are working.  
 
The responsibilities for this position:
Manage the budgets of construction of the project and to make sure that each budget is correctly allotted to each batch of construction
  • Collaborate with the team of management of the contracts on the site in order to review the work of the contractors and to maintain the costs and the bill books planned for each contract
  • To take part in the meetings concerning the tendencies of the project in the field of construction
  • To analyze and explain the variations with the budget and the changes with the forecasts
  • To update the monthly report/ratio of costs
  • To review the progressive invoicing of the contractors and the values acquired for purposes of payment
  • To supervise and evaluate the modifications concerning the scale of the project and work additional
  • To take part in the revision of the tendencies as regards productivity for construction
  • To take care of the suitable coding of the costs in the documents concerning engagements and accountancy
  • To ensure flows of treasury for the site
  • To lend assistance for the closing of the project
  • To take part in the promotion of a culture based on the conscience, the control and the correction of the costs
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experiment or a combination of studies and equivalent formation
  • Must have experience working at a senior level on heavy industrial project such as: petrochemical, oil & gas, mining, power. 
  • Member of a professional order such as the International AACE or SME
  • Solids interpersonal aptitudes allowing to work effectively with the pars, the direction, the suppliers and the subcontractors, like with high level customers
  • Control of French (spoken and written); knowledge of English
