Human Resources Manager

[Company] is a manufacturer of ground engaging tools for road maintenance, construction and mining industries. We are currently seeking a dedicated, team orientated Human Resources Manager to join our Selkirk, Manitoba location. Under the direction of the VP Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager is accountable and responsible for partnering with the business on a wide range of HR functions including labour relations, recruitment and retention, employee relations, training & development, performance management, benefit management, employee engagement and various HR projects, administrative functions and initiatives as required.
 
The HR Manager will also work collaboratively with the HR team and management to contribute ideas and input into business planning to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
 
The successful candidate will also possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Completion of a degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management, plus three to five years of human resource experience preferably in a generalist role with exposure to labour relations
  • Strong understanding of applicable employment and Human Rights legislation
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, objectives and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Able to work with a high degree of independence
  • Demonstrated leadership initiative and motivation for success
  • Passionate about coaching, mentoring and developing employees
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Must possess tact, diplomacy and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of MS Office and an aptitude for learning computer systems and programs
  • Strong conflict management skills
