Electrical & Systems Engineer

As an Electrical & Systems Engineer, you will report to the Electrical Infrastructure Superintendent and have a lead role in effective planning and continuous improvement of the site electrical maintenance practices, inclusive of maintenance of electrical infrastructure and a Dragline fleet of six B.E. and Marion Draglines.
Specific key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
· With a demonstrable commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC), you will be comfortable working within a team environment
· Adherence to compliance with all safety procedures, safe work instructions, SOPs, Coal Mining Act and Regulations and conducting reviews to monitor compliance.
· Lead and participate in identifying opportunities to improve the performance of machinery and equipment and implement and monitor such improvements.
· Develop, implement and monitor electrical maintenance systems which will ensure the mine achieves its’ business targets.
· Design, implement and manage process control systems, power reticulation systems and switching techniques.
· Provide leadership, coordination and support to crews so they achieve operating targets, including relief supervision.
· Provide technical input and advice for Maintenance Coordinators and supervision for major shutdowns.
· Ensure electrical, PLC, instrumentation and communication work is carried out to the appropriate standard.
The successful candidate will have:
· Relevant tertiary electrical engineering qualification or suitable industry experience
· Current knowledge and experience in PLC Programming, maintenance and diagnostic experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix family of processors; Citect, Cicode programming, RS logics and communications systems (e.g. two-way radio, data, ethermux, video etc.)
· Knowledge of Mine Electrical standards and regulations.
· Experience with Monitoring, Budgeting & Forecasting Maintenance Costs
· High computer literacy with SAP and sound ability with Microsoft software packages.
· A high level of interpersonal and communications skills.
· Experience with Dragline maintenance would be preferable
