Mining Engineer – Senior

Description:
Our client is looking for a Mining Engineer at the senior level to join their facility in Northern British Columbia. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and growing organization.
 
The successful Mining Engineer will be responsible for:
 
Mine planning and design for open pit coal mines, including site infrastructure and reclamation plans.
Develop designs which optimize the safety and cost effectiveness of the operation and which provides the flexibility to help ensure production goals are met.
 
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mining Engineering with a Professional Engineering designation
  • Must have minimum 10 years experience with 8 or more years being progressively responsible mine engineering and/or mine management experience.
  • Experience with computerized mine modeling and design systems (preferably Gemcom) is essential, and experience doing feasibility.
